Welcome to the home of *AN* Squad

*AN* Squad is made up of ANZACS (Kiwis And Aussies) who enjoy the fun of Online Gaming, friendship of other squad's and the wider community in general. It was founded By MultiSlayer, K1w1, SunTzu and Slam in March 2001.

Unlike many other squads we do not have a military structure or rankings according to ones kill rate. We welcome members of varying talents and skill levels. We currently have a talented group of players that enjoy helping in many areas of the game. They consist of web designers, tacticians, networking consultants, techy's, graphic artist's and map makers. But above all, we have a good sense of humour and are respected by all. We are a fun loving group, but when called upon, we play hard and play to win, in the tradition of the ANZACs.

We do NOT permit cheats, the use of map glitches, trainers or bandwidth retardation in our Squad. We regularly enter tournaments and although we are not champions we win some and of course we lose some too, but one thing is clear, we all have a great time and always give them a good run for their money. Our game play is always respected.

New vehicles like the ATV and a transport helicopter allow for all-new multiplayer tactics on the Battlefield. With the Frostbite-enabled Destruction 2.0 system, you can take down entire buildings and create your own fire points by blasting holes through cover. You can also compete in four-player teams in two squad-only game modes, fighting together to unlock exclusive awards and achievements. COD:MW2
General News

Infinity Ward have announced the COD:MW2 will be released without support for dedicated servers and mods.

Online multiplayer gaming for PC will use IW.net. A system reported to be similar to the one used in the PS3 and XBox360 consoles. This will in all likelyhood prevent modding, ensure only small numbers of players in maps, prevent people joining servers they like with people they know, create latency issues between players. Competitive gaming will be weak or non existent in such a system.

The PC community has reacted to this news with outrage. MW2 Pre-orders are being cancelled, clans are boycotting the release and an online petition asking IW to reconsider has over 80000 signatures after only 2 days. What are your thoughts? Will you still get the game?
